FEATURES OF PAID ANTIVIRUS

The importance of anti-virus software is universally known by every computer user. It can be considered the most important software to have in the system. However, it is worth noting that some free antivirus software does not provide optimum protection, especially when the data to be secured is very classified and crucial.

This is because it provides a minimum level of antivirus protection. However, feature for more comprehensive and thorough protection, such as scanning for malware, automatic scans, firewall, parental controls, identity theft protection etc, are usually found in paid antivirus.

However, there are two most important features that highlight the significance of paid antivirus in relation with the free version. Speed and effectiveness are usually similar for both versions, but it is the additional features and customer support that makes the paid antivirus stand out.

The level of support offered by antivirus companies is crucial to help the consumers with any problems with the software. These customer representatives are well knowledgeable technicians that answer any queries of the customers related to antivirus. Free versions have very limited support, and it does not include a personal contact with the technicians, which can make a huge difference.

Furthermore, most antivirus have offline-scanning feature as well, which allows the users to have virus detection even when not connected to the internet. Moreover, manual / offline update of virus definitions is also an important feature to have in computers where there is no internet connection for online updates.

Some great antivirus free and paid versions are available in the market. Some well-known antivirus is Avast Antivirus, Avira AntiVir, Norton, Bit Defender Antivirus, and KasperSky.

The paid antivirus software have strong and effective blocking and security features that help protect the user against Trojans, viruses, hijackers, key-loggers, intruders, and hackers, and are often accommodated with its own antispyware and firewall.

WHY YOU NEED ANTIVIRUS ON YOUR IPHONE, IPAD AND IPOD

Five years ago, when you heard the word antivirus, you most likely automatically associated any type of virus or attack with personal computers. However, times have changed and now other devices require antivirus software to ensure they can escape the perils and risk associated with viruses.

When the iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices were first released, they were fairly immune to viruses because the hackers had not yet figured out a method to penetrate the security wall that surrounded these devices. However, as time went on more and more viruses starting appearing on these devices.

Because these devices have been on the market for many years, the hackers and other programmers that focus on creating viruses have figured out which types of viruses the iPad, iPhone, and iPod are most susceptible to. Because of this, they can target the weak spots on the device to easily plant viruses, malware, spyware, and other malicious code on the device.

Having an antivirus installed can thwart most of these attacks and ensure your device is safe to use for many years to come. Antivirus software for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod is generally cheap to purchase and easy to use.

Because of the massive number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that have been purchased in recent years, they have quickly become a target for hackers because of the vital information that is kept on these phones. Installing antivirus software will ensure the viruses don’t affect the phones performance or security.

It is imperative that you install antivirus software as soon as you purchase the device to ensure it is secure from the various viruses and other threats that are floating around. Because of the immense popularity of the Apple devices, there are now many viruses that threaten the very stability that once was so great.
